The device is made in the most popular form factor for devices of such format – a compact stick with rounded corners and edges, and a flattened ergonomic mouthpiece. Thanks to a simple chipset, the vaper will be able to set the power of 5-20 watts. Caliburn X Device battery pack
Devices from the Chinese company Uwell for a long time have not been very popular among vapers until it began mass production of POD-systems. One of the most popular series of the company, which 100% came to the taste of many vapers was the Caliburn line. Devices of this series are notable for their simplicity and reliability, but not all vapers like simplicity, so the company decided to release a more functional device, which bears the proud name of Uwell Caliburn X Pod Kit.
The design of the new POD-system can hardly be called innovative as it is a traditional stick with rounded corners and edges, so it is most convenient to use. The device is quite compact – 107,4*27,5*15,6 mm, so it takes minimum space in your pocket. The body is made of aluminum alloy, which is additionally painted with powder coating, which turned out a pleasant touch soft-touch coating. The device weighs only 45 grams.
Despite its compact size Uwell Caliburn X Pod Kit has quite a big 850 mAh battery which is enough for two or three days of battery life (at least that is what the manufacturer promises).
The battery is charged using the USB Type-C connector located on the bottom end of the device with 2A current, so the full charging time will be about half an hour.
The Uwell Caliburn X Pod Kit runs on a simple chipset that allows you to use the device in vari-watt mode at 5-20 watts. In order to set the power, you need to use the single “Fire” button located in the center of the case, and the power is set in a circle towards increase. The activation of the POD system is double – with a puff and a button.
The device is equipped with a small monochrome display, where you can find a minimum set of information about the device operation – battery level, power, voltage, vaporizer resistance and number of puffs.
Caliburn X Pod Cartridge
Although the Uwell Caliburn X Pod Kit is made in a fairly modest size, it uses cartridges with replaceable rather than built-in vaporizers. The cartridge is held in the battery pack by two small magnets.
The Caliburn X Pod cartridge is designed to fit the UN2 Series replacement vaporizers that vapers are already familiar with. There are two vaporizers on the grid – 0,8 and 1,2 Ohm, so good flavor transfer to the vaper is guaranteed.
The device provides blowing adjustment, implemented with a small slider located on the side of the battery box.
To refill the cartridge you just need to remove the mouthpiece by simply breaking it in a straight line and pour 2 ml of liquid into the hole equipped with a check valve.
Conclusions and impressions
Uwell Caliburn X Pod Kit on the one hand is an ordinary POD system, but on the other hand it is quite an interesting and versatile device, which can pleasantly surprise many vapers, and even sophisticated ones. The device is versatile enough due to the possibility of changing vaporizers, power setting and blowing control, and at the same time it is easy to use and quite autonomous.
