In this review, I will try to tell you about a device for beginner vapers, which can also be used by vapers who simply value their time.
The C-II STARTER KIT is packaged in a classic VAPTIO white box. On the front side of which you can see the device itself, read the “scary” warnings and find out the maximum power of the device (100 watts). The back side is given another “scary” warning, information about the creators, the package contents and warning icons. On the ends you can find a sticker with an authenticity verification code, several barcodes and the color of the device (black or gray).

The VAPTIO C-II TANK is a typical representative of maintenance-free tanks, its appearance is so simple that it does not even have any inscriptions on it, but there are finger hooks in all the right places, making it easy to use.
The bottom of the tank is as plain as everything else, there are absolutely no inscriptions on it, as well as a non-protruding positive pin in the 510 connector.

The top part is quite original. Here, the designers from VAPTIO decided to abandon the removable drip tip altogether! More precisely, it is kind of there, but it is not a full-fledged 510 (although it looks like it), just a plastic cap on the filling cap.

After unscrewing the cap, you can see the filling system, very similar to that of the older brother FROGMAN XL TANK. However, there is no bayonet mount, instead of it there is a regular thread, but the valve preventing liquid leakage remains in place.

The dome of the evaporation chamber turned out to have a small surprise – it rotates together with the steam pipe and can block the liquid supply holes. I’m not sure that this will be useful for unserviced evaporators, but the implementation was frankly pleasing. When tightening the top cap, the last quarter of a turn pulls the steam pipe and, accordingly, turns the shaft with holes, it turned out simple and elegant.

To install the evaporator in the tank, you need to unscrew the lower part, here at first glance it also seems that there is nothing special, but in fact, the engineers made an almost universal seat for evaporators and several of their (evaporator) models can be installed in this tank at once, both with threads and without them at all.

The airflow adjustment ring is not fixed to the base with anything except one thin o-ring, and from turning 360 degrees, it has two protrusions on the inner surface, and two more are located on the base itself.
What I like most about the VAPTIO C-II battery block is the coating: amazingly soft-touch. You don’t even want to let go of this cylinder, especially in black. Even the small manufacturer’s logo at the bottom and the button at the top do not distract at all and do not disturb the integral harmony of the cylindrical monolith.
A 510 connector with a spring-loaded positive pin is located at the top of the mod. The base of the platform is made of eight sectors of different diameters, on the one hand, this will allow the evaporators to stick less to the block itself, and on the other hand, you can use both modern and already rather outdated evaporators with lower air intake.
The lower part of the battery block is equipped with a single hole for removing gases from the built-in battery and is covered with various inscriptions, the most useful of which is the battery capacity.
During charging, the button glows blue, and after charging is complete, it goes out and the mod turns off. To activate, simply press the button 5 times within two seconds, as well as to turn it off. The mod has another interesting and useful feature: after twenty minutes of inactivity, it turns off automatically, which greatly increases the safety of its use, because with such a function, the likelihood that it will start “frying” in your pocket is almost zero.
The battery pack is quite functional not only with maintenance-free tanks, but also with modern drippers, if their resistance does not fall below 0.15 Ohm (at least for me, the 0.12 winding did not work, and with 0.18 it fried quite well, although not as vigorously as I would like).

Previously, I was somewhat skeptical about similar devices, but the VAPTIO C-II STARTER KIT definitely pleasantly surprised me. First of all, ease of use and charging, ease of filling and maintenance, excellent autonomy and good flavor transfer. This set may even grow a little if you replace the complete tank with a dripper with a gentle winding of 0.18-0.25 Ohm, fortunately, almost all modern evaporators will look good on a 25 mm diameter mod. And the low price (which is even surprising for VAPTIO products) only adds to the advantages of this set.
