Review of disposable ARTIST 5K from QUUN

In this review, I will talk about the rectangular and solid disposable electronic cigarettes The ARTIST 5K from the Chinese company QUUN for 5000 puffs.

The ARTIST 5K disposables from QUUN – packaging

Inside, the sticks are packaged in disposable bags, transparent on one side and branded with the line logo on the other. The disposable mouthpieces are closed with silicone plugs, which will protect the insides from dust during use (if you don’t lose them) and from accidental activation during transportation from the manufacturer to the store.

ARTIST 5K disposable design from QUUN

The body of the disposable The ARTIST 5K from QUUN is made of aluminum alloy and coated with a thin layer of paint, for each taste a unique shade. When held in the hand, it gives a pleasant heaviness and cools the skin a little, although after a while it still heats up. There are plastic inserts at the top and bottom. The first ends with a mouthpiece on a slight elevation, and behind the second there is a control board with a port and a charging controller. The device turns on from the noise of the puff and shows its performance not only by generating steam, but also by the glow of the LED from below. The three side faces are completely clean, on the front there will be the device’s logo, its name and a drawing of some animal, different for each taste.

Testing and tastes of The ARTIST 5K

You can compare and evaluate the size of The ARTIST 5K disposable shoes with common things (AA battery or lighter) in the photo above.

Inside each disposable device there is a battery containing a reactive alkali metal – lithium. Such batteries should not be thrown away with household waste, but should be taken for recycling or special disposal.

ARTIST 5K – ENERGY BLUE RAZZ

The aroma of the energy drink is very pleasant, tickles the nose, and at the same time, berry notes are clearly felt in it. The taste is sweet, perhaps too sweet, although this is a matter of personal preference. When you inhale, there is more energy, while when you exhale, berries come first. I’m not sure about blue raspberries, but there is definitely something similar to it along with barberry. The aftertaste is long, juicy and without any chill at all. There is also a quibble – after exhaling (but not during soaring), a certain extraneous tone appears in the air, unnoticeable at first and incomprehensible later.

ARTIST 5K – MANGO PEACH WATERMELON

The smell is mixed and clear, mango and peach are fighting for air supremacy worse than the aces of the Second World War. Watermelon tones appear later, after exhalation and are not so intense. The taste on inhalation is slightly cool, watermelon is immediately recognizable, peach appears with a deep inhalation, and already during exhalation, mango fully reveals itself, adding a slight sourness and its own unique taste to the sensations. The finish is soft, moderately sour and slightly cool, accented by a mixture of watermelon and mango.

ARTIST 5K – STRAWBERRY WATERMELON BUBBLE GUM

I’ll just call the aroma incomprehensible – a mixture of watermelon and strawberries. And even with chewing gum on top. Too unusual for me. The taste is more integral, here the sweet chewing gum comes first, the watermelon is more noticeable during the exhalation, and there is very little strawberry, only a slight aftertaste in the aftertaste.

ARTIST 5K – MANGO BLACK CURRANT

The smell is very interesting and unusual; to my memory, no one has ever mixed mango with blackcurrant. Surprisingly, it turned out very cool, both scents are quite powerful, but together they balance each other out. Due to its decent sweetness, the taste goes into caramel or candy territory, either mango or berries are slightly lost against the background of a huge amount of melted sugar. In the exhale, currants win, and in the aftertaste a mango-resinous flavor appears.

ARTIST 5K – STRAWBERRY PINEAPPLE COCONUT

I won’t even make any comparisons – it’s just a gorgeous pina colada cocktail, to which they added a spoonful of strawberry syrup, and then half a cup of crushed ice. Sweetness, sourness of pineapple, a hint of coconut, a slight chill and a soft, almost creamy note of strawberry in the aftertaste.

ARTIST 5K – WATERMELON SKITTLE

In this case, it turned out to be somewhat unclear. The aroma is exclusively watermelon and extremely sweet. The taste is just as rich in molasses, but the watermelon part has a slight bitterness. Either very specific candies were used as a standard, or I didn’t understand something. Bottom line: if you like sugar in all its forms and don’t mind watermelon in the aftertaste, you can take it.

ARTIST 5K – STRAWBERRY KIWI

Strawberry and kiwi, one of the classic and popular combinations in vaping. I must admit, the QUUN mixologists made the liquid a success. They took the best and most aromatic of both berries, seasoned them with a drop of cooler and a caramel note, barely noticeable during vaping, but very distinct in the aftertaste. Tasty, tender, good.

ARTIST 5K – KIWI PASSION FRUIT GUAVA

Another taste, where a huge number of diverse flavor components are simply mixed into a multi-fruit juice. Tasty, slightly cool, sweet at first and sour in the aftertaste. But it’s not at all clear that you’re floating. I don’t exclude that there are fans of such mixes, but definitely not me.

ARTIST 5K – VANILLA CHERRY

In contrast to the previous version, everything in this one is simple and clear, and therefore it is perceived completely differently. A rich vanilla base, vaguely similar to a thick and dark cream, and on top there is a bright cherry flavor. Not candy or marmalade, but quite recognizable live and ripe berries. And everything would be fine if that same strange aroma did not again appear in the air after exhaling, as in the very first one-shot in the review, somewhat similar to the subtle smell of Vaseline or hygienic lipstick. Although, if you get used to it a little, you can ignore this quibble.

ARTIST 5K – TRIPLE GRAPE

Grapes, grapes and more grapes. Just a lot of dark grapes. Moderate sweetness, medium sourness. She doesn’t slip into outright Isabella, which is good. Otherwise, it’s just a monotaste of grapes. If you love these berries, feel free to buy them.

Personal impressions

The inscription on the body of SEASON 1 seems to hint that this is only the first part of the one-off series under the name The ARTIST 5K, and the QUUN company is going to release a sequel in the near future. I’ll wait, because out of the ten flavors we tried, all of them turned out to be pleasant. And even though I frankly didn’t understand a couple of them – that’s normal, it’s impossible to please everyone by definition – there were both frankly chic options and quite worthy ones for unpretentious daily vaping. If you want to ask where to start getting acquainted, then without a shadow of a doubt I recommend: mango with watermelon, mango with black currant, a mixture of strawberries and pina colada. And of course, the classic mix of strawberries and kiwi.
