In this review, we will look at the disposable BOOM MAX 3000 with the ability to recharge from the Chinese R&D manufacturer ALD Croup.

If you think that you are not familiar with ALD Group products, perhaps you just don’t know much and are mistaken. ALD Vapor, like many other Chinese companies, specializes in OEM and ODM, i.e. engages in its own research, development and production for more “famous” Western brands, which may not have their own facilities at all. I had previously tested several devices from the manufacturer, which appeared on the market under a different, more “loud” name. In general, a typical story for hardworking Chinese. Exactly the same situation is with the BOOM MAX 3000 considered in this review, which can be ordered empty (!), filled with your own liquid, packaged in any box and sold under any of your own names.
Packaging ALD BOOM MAX 3000
The BOOM MAX disposables came to me in transparent tubes on which you can find the ALD brand name, the approximate number of puffs and a large warning about the dangers of nicotine. Everything is as required by the laws of different countries. new zealand vape The top of the package is closed with a black stopper, which supports the device so that it does not dangle inside and ensures a tight seal.
For the above reasons – by and large, these are just samples designed to show only an approximate appearance of the final product – the names of the liquid are not indicated either on the devices or on the boxes. In my case, they are simply in the form of paper stickers and glued to the lids of the tubes. On the reverse side, on a green background, the characteristics are listed: nicotine strength (I received 2%, i.e. 20 mg/ml), volume of the liquid reservoir, battery capacity, type of evaporator and type of charging connector. Below are standard warnings and cautions, details and address of the manufacturer and a number of standard pictograms.
Appearance and design of ALD BOOM MAX 3000
The disposable BOOM MAX 3000, on the one hand, looks quite typical – it’s a cylinder with a mouthpiece sticking out on top – but on the other hand, it’s cute and even funny. The body has the shape of a barrel, consisting of two halves: the upper part is matte and rough, with blunt edges, the lower part is glossy and has only two bevels, on one of them there is the name of the device and an oblong window for the LED. As usual, there are no buttons; the electronics are activated by tightening. It is curious that initially BOOM MAX were announced with a smaller number of puffs (1800), and with more modest dimensions, and with a different body shape, where matte and glossy plastic were used in reverse. Perhaps such an option exists in nature. Or maybe it was eventually abandoned in favor of a more spacious model.

The top and bottom, as expected in new disposables, are covered. On top there is a silicone plug, on the bottom there is a simple sticker that hides the hole with the charging port through which air is drawn in. The mouthpiece is round, translucent, made of plastic of the same color as the lower part of the body. It’s pleasant and convenient to use, liquid doesn’t fly into your mouth when you puff, and condensation practically doesn’t form on the walls. If you look closely, you can see under the transparent plastic the filler that holds the liquid.
If you decide to purchase a device for your own production, this mouthpiece will be located separately from the main body. You simply pour 8 ml of your liquid into the refill, insert the mouthpiece into the body and get a ready-to-use dispenser with your liquid. The closed lid can no longer be removed, the latches hold it tightly in the case and without the use of brute physical force (in other words, breaking it), it will not be possible to refill the device.
Charging the disposable ALD BOOM MAX 3000
Despite the use of a modern USB Type-C charging connector, the current consumed by the board is very small, approximately 0.4 A at a standard voltage of 5 V. You cannot vape while charging; the board does not support pasta.
Flavors of ALD BOOM MAX 3000
The manufacturer provided me with five devices with different flavors. In the photo above you can see approximate design options (different colors of the lower half and adding a gradient color to the upper), and ALD has about 24 mixes of its own flavors.
Inside each disposable device there is a battery containing a reactive alkali metal – lithium. Such batteries should not be thrown away with household waste, but should be taken for recycling or special disposal.

The smell from the device is sweet, even sugary, but not cloying or pungent, like, for example, banana chewing gum can smell like. In addition to the taste of the fruit itself and the starchy hue, the steam also contains a light creamy aftertaste, which, together with the cooler, turns the composition into something between chewing gum and ice cream with banana topping. Sweet, cold and quite tasty.
BOOM MAX 3000 CHERRY GRAPE
And if the presence of grapes here does not raise the slightest doubt – the smell has characteristic tart notes of the skin, however, not falling into a banal Isabella – then with cherries everything is very ambiguous. It appears only on inhalation, slightly sour, but ripe and with juicy and rich pulp. Already as you exhale, the steam turns back into grapes, and along with the chill, this taste remains on the palate and throat. If there was just a little more acid it would be great. And it’s just very good.
BOOM MAX 3000 PINEAPPLE ICE
Pleasant, sweet and not particularly natural confectionery pineapple. In pairing, the first impression is completely confirmed, but in addition to caramel and the same cooler, slightly reviving the taste of the fruit, a light, almost citrus sourness appears. It’s like syrup with rolled-up pineapple rings floating in it, fresh out of the refrigerator. Simple, pleasant, sweet and very unobtrusive.
BOOM MAX 3000 RED BULL
A typical aroma of something taurine-caffeine with frankly perfume notes, which, in my opinion, almost any energy drink has. Already in the puff, the smell becomes much more interesting and reveals itself with “barberries”, and sugar sweetness, and acid, which almost tangibly stings the tongue, like in real soda. Very cheerful, and very similar. Of course, in my personal opinion, for an objective assessment you should turn to real Red Bull experts.
BOOM MAX 3000 WATERMELON ICE
And here is my favorite. The smell is of freshly cut, slightly greenish and juicy watermelon pulp, with distinct notes of melons. The taste is of sweet watermelon candy, but with the same shade of rinds and greenery, but without bitterness and seeds, but with a slight sourness and without an excess of sugar. Excellent balance, the composition has just the right amount of everything. And even enough cooler to create an almost natural watermelon from a sweet candy.
Impression
I won’t judge the entire palette of ALD Group mixes based on five flavors, but among the ones I tried there were a couple that I really liked. I can say about the devices themselves that they do not leak, they work properly, they charge (albeit slowly) without problems. And although they look unusual and even funny, they are not wild. In general, excellent modern disposables with good characteristics and interesting opportunities for creating your own product.
