Today we will talk about a box mod, which was recently released on the market by a fairly well-known Chinese company Augvape — V200 Mod.
The Chinese from Augvape have long won their recognition with a large assortment of devices. Mainly atomizers, among which the inexpensive and simple Druga RDA dripper has become a real pearl. In fact, in addition to the almost well-known RDA, the company’s portfolio also includes a newfangled squonk, and tanks (including for MTL) and little-known boxes. But something else, bright and memorable, the manufacturer really lacked. Apparently, having decided that it is still impossible to please all vapers at once, the manufacturer decided to deliver a pinpoint blow, namely, by drawing attention to the automotive theme. It is to fans and all those who are not indifferent to the Japanese auto industry that the new product is dedicated — the Augvape V200 Mod box mod.
Augvape V200 Mod box mod packaging
The new product comes to the buyer in transparent packaging, through which you can not only see the paint option, but also examine the V200 box mod from almost all sides, only the very top and bottom of the device are hidden in the depths of the box. moti vape In addition to the manufacturer’s name Augvape and the name of the V200 Mod device, you can find a sticker with a verification code for originality on the walls.
On the bottom plane of the box there is a list of the equipment, a mention that the real and only manufacturer is Augvape technology Co. Ltd and a scattering of standard certificates. On the same side, the box is sealed with a transparent sticker. We take out the device together with a stand made of foamed polystyrene, inside a kind of “pedestal” is all the rest of the contents.

In addition to the mod itself, the only useful thing you can find in the box is a small thick cable (50 cm) in a red fabric braid.
Augvape V200 Mod Appearance and Design
As it says right on the mod itself, when creating their V200 Mod, the designers from Augvape were inspired by the popular engine of the Japanese company Honda, or rather its version B18C Type R, the cylinder block cover of which the device repeats in its design. It turned out, by the way, not that it looks similar, but very plausible, right down to the bolts, the font of the mod name and the regulator, stylized as an oil cap. Despite the abundantly protruding ribs and elements, it is comfortable to hold the box mod in your hand, there are no sharp edges and cutting edges, and the relief adds tenacity. True, the regulator itself gets in the way a little, but only when you simply squeeze the device in your right hand – it digs into the pad of your thumb. The body is covered with matte paint, fingerprints are not noticeable on it, no chips or scratches appeared on the surface in a couple of days, but conclusions about durability can only be made after a couple of weeks. Both glossy black panels are expectedly very easily soiled and get dirty instantly.
Out of the box, the plastic inserts on the front and back are sealed with protective films; one of them has a mark where the controls are. We will return to them later.
At the time of release, the Augvape V200 box mod was available in three colors: white, red and black. I may be wrong (I am not a car enthusiast at all, correct me in the comments), but the color of the cylinder head cover of the Honda B18C Type R is exactly bright scarlet, which is what I got my hands on.

Steel connector
Gold-plated spring-loaded positive pin
The box mod connector is raised above the body, the platform is 25mm in diameter, but the dimensions of the body allow you to screw on an atomizer up to ∅29mm, there will be only a small levitation outside the platform. The negative part is made of stainless steel and either painted or anodized in black, the cuts with bare metal resemble the pattern of alloy wheels of a car. The positive pin is spring-loaded, the power reserve is about a millimeter, with several tested drippers and tanks there are no problems, but you should not try to screw the Battle Deck to the stop.
The battery compartment cover is implemented as in many modern mods: sliding with a hook, without a button. The filling is covered from the inside with blue plastic, between the two compartments you can see the balancer contact for charging the batteries inside the mod. I would still like to express a separate complaint about the lack of holes for emergency gas outlet, the engineers from Augvape, with the available power of the board, in vain neglected such basic safety.
Impressions and conclusions
Placing the Kennedy 24 RDA atomizer on the Augvape V200 Mod box modWhat did we get? On the one hand, the product is a bit raw. There are complaints about incomprehensible glitches in operation, for which there is no explanation. If Augvape bothers to refine the software (and apparently there is an opportunity), then these jambs can be easily eliminated. Regarding safety, or rather the lack of gas outlet holes in the case and just ventilation of the board, I would like to remind you that the device is designed to work not only with high power, but also with very low resistance (and, yes, it “fries” 0.05 Ohm). In addition to the variable wattage, the other two modes raise doubts, especially the V Mode, which could easily be replaced with the ability to independently adjust the time and value of the preheat. Regarding all the oddities and glitches in the board’s operation, I wrote above.
But on the other hand, this is a solid, unusual-looking box mod with good, albeit slightly limited capabilities. At a time when it is difficult to surprise someone with the presence of various kinds of “bells and whistles” and functions that are of little use to anyone, ease of control begins to be perceived as a positive quality. But if you use temperature control, this mod is not for you. Otherwise, there are a lot of advantages: instant response, excellent assembly and paint, nothing rattles or dangles anywhere, the device feels confident and monolithic in the hand. The location of the Fire button in the center of the mod at first caused some confusion, but then it became obvious that it is quite convenient, since both in the left hand and in the right, the palm gets approximately the same grip and the thumb or index finger itself lies on the button. In the right, however, a little discomfort is caused by the adjustment joystick, but if you take it with your hand a little lower and put your finger on Fire, then this detail does not interfere at all. Liked:
Unusual appearance and control
Build quality
Simple menu
Suitable for atomizers up to 29 mm
Support resistance from 0.05 Ohm
High charging current
Disliked:
No holes for emergency gas outlet and board ventilation
Small glitches in operation
Work until very strong battery discharge

Yes, the cost is comparable to some American mods and a little inhumane, but Augvape offers us first of all not just a mod, but practically an art object, ready to conquer a vaper, especially a motorist, especially an owner of a Honda with a VTEC engine. The choice, as always, is yours.
